Starter Connect Insurance
Our experience suggests that some new and smaller charities operate without insurance cover. In today’s litigious society insurance protection in respect of your legal liability to the general public is essential. Starter Connect provides an affordable, simple, ‘no frills’ Public and Products Liability cover especially designed for charities, voluntary and not-for-profit organisations with:
- annual income/turnover up to £10,000
- assets to £25,000
- less than 100 members
Optional Covers are available for:
- Employers Liability (for employees and volunteers)
- Specified activities not organised, run and supervised by you
- All Risks cover for the charity/organisation’s property

Special Events Insurance
This product is designed to offer appropriate cover for charities, church groups, not-for-profit organisations and voluntary groups involved in organising or exhibiting at indoor or outdoor events of up to 5 days.
The policy provides public and products liability cover to protect the charity, church, not-for-profit organisation or voluntary group against liability for injury to the public or damage to their property including liability arising from the sale or supply of goods whilst at an event.
In addition the policy can be extended to cover:
- All Risks
- Cancellation Expenses
- Employers Liability
- Money
- Personal Accident

Financial Indemnity Insurance
Our Financial Indemnity package offers comprehensive Trustees Indemnity Insurance with a range of additional covers. It has been designed by Ansvar to protect recognised charities, including Trustees, from financial loss. Ansvar Insurance Company Ltd is a leading ethical general insurance company, specialising in insuring not-for-profit organisations and connected individuals.
Cover automatically includes:
Trustee Indemnity providing an indemnity to the trustees of the charity for wrongful acts such as a breach of duty or trust, wrongful trading, or negligent statement in the course of their activities as trustees.
Legal Expenses providing a legal defence for matters such as employment disputes (including compensation awards), bodily injury negotiations, criminal proceedings or investigation by any statutory body.
Loss of Reputation providing amounts to pay for public relations services to counter adverse publicity.
Plus, optional extensions:
Professional Indemnity providing an indemnity to the charity and its employees for errors, omissions or breaches of professional duty in the provision of services to a third party.
Fidelity Guarantee providing a re-imbursement to a charity where a loss has occurred as a result of the theft or fraudulent activities of a trustee or an employee.

Community Groups Insurance
Our Community Groups insurance is designed to offer appropriate cover for clubs, groups or societies which hire, rent or are loaned premises for meetings. Groups with their own premises from which they operate will need our Charity Connect policy.
The policy provides public and products liability cover to protect the club, group or society against liability for injury to the public or damage to their property including liability arising from the sale or supply of goods.
In addition the policy can be extended to cover:
- All Risks
- Business Interruption (Extra Expenses cover)
- Employers Liability
- Money (including Personal Accident Assault)
- Personal Accident
- Trustees Indemnity (for organisations which are recognised as having charitable objectives)
